Diesel Performance Parts, Inc. Pricing Policies

The internet is our best friend and our worst enemy all at the same time. Due to the explosion of the use of the internet, we have instituted a pricing policy to make sure our previous customers and future customers are able to obtain the BEST pricing on all of our product lines.

What we will do: If you find a product at a better price than what we have listed on our web site or printed materials, please tell us. Use our toll free number, 866-455-7788, or e-mail us through the “contact us” buttons on this site. We WILL respond to you promptly. We pride ourselves in having the product you select available for shipment the same day you order as well as the best customer service available. Remember, we are a “brick and mortar” company that stocks the inventory we advertise. We are not “just” an internet mail order business that drop ships products from the manufacturer. It will be a rare occasion when we can’t eliminate your pricing concerns, and we INTEND to eliminate them.

What we can not do: Diesel Performance Parts, Inc. is a manufacturer direct distributor. We will not violate any MAP policy. We distribute products for large a number of manufacturers and being able to do that is a privilege. The prime concern of any manufacturer in the last ten years is the internet’s ability to allow anyone to reach millions of potential customers from the comfort of your home, not only as a consumer but also as a sales outlet. These concerns have prompted the best manufacturers to institute a MAP Policy. The MAP “minimum advertised policy” for most manufacturers is just that, they prescribe the minimum price that a product can be listed at in any printed or web based medium. We have agreed to monitor our distributors and also adhere to these dictated pricing policies. The manufacturers do NOT leave any room for error! Do NOT feel that you are being difficult when you call or e-mail us with any information on a better price, if it is a legitimate reseller with legitimate products you will buy from us, we guarantee it!

What we can control: How you are treated as a consumer. We work hard to “know” the products we sell, that way you get the correct information you need to make an informed buying decision. We stay on top of the markets new products, and even do BETA testing for most of our manufacturers. We know what works best for each individual’s intended usage. We have very liberal return policies, and because of them we almost never get returns. Technical help, in most cases we are your tech line. The manufacturers try very hard, but let’s be frank they are not physically able to answer each individual question. We are here to help you with that and we know the answers. Like our mission statement says, “Diesel Performance Like It Should Be”

What we can not control: There are vendors out there that buy products from a variety of different sources. They do this to “mask” what distributor they purchase from so that the manufacturer has to really work hard/smart to find out where they got their products. The manufacturers apply pressure to the distributors to keep their vendors in line with the MAP policies. This multiple sourcing keeps them somewhat hidden so they can violate a manufacturers MAP policy. This is not new to us or the manufacturer, while the vendor is clever the end result is they almost always get exposed and lose the ability to sell a product line. These are the same vendors that appear on E-Bay at shows and swap meets and sell at deep discounts. When the consumer has a problem they can be hard to find for returns or technical help.
