MBRP
Stainless Steel Single and Cool Dual Exhaust Systems for the Ford Power
Stroke, Dodge Cummins, and Chevy Duramax Diesel
DPPI
has all the MBRP stainless steel exhaust systems available for your Dodge
Cummins, Ford Power Stroke, and GMC Duramax diesel pick up. Systems are
available in both T-304 and T-409 stainless steel.
The
MBRP stainless steel exhaust systems offered by Diesel
Performance Parts, Inc. are constructed entirely of either T-304
or T-409 polished stainless steel mandrel bent tubing and welded
hanger components. T-304 stainless steel is the industry’s
premium material for exhaust use. If you are using T-304
stainless steel, it is the best of the best!
The down
pipe is designed to end just before the transmission cross member, in those
applications where necessary, eliminating the need to remove the cross
member to install the system. This type of design makes installation a
simple, easy to perform operation that does not require the transmission
to be supported during installation.
The spiral flow louvered muffler is a six-inch diameter by thirty-inch
long stainless steel case, containing six-inches of packing material made
of stainless steel wool, with a ceramic blanket outer packing. The interior
of the muffler is a four-inch stainless steel tube that dampens the resonance
of diesel exhaust and still keeps the interior noise level of the cab within
comfortable levels of the factory sound level. The muffler design uses
a Spiral Flow louver that is specifically designed for diesel exhaust performance.
The spiral pattern (view
picture)
of the louvers produces the same twist the turbocharger introduced to the
exhaust gasses as they left the turbocharger. The spiral pattern of the
louvers helps speed the exhaust gasses out of the exhaust system to lower
the exhaust gas temperatures as quickly as possible.
The
tail pipe is a four-inch stainless steel mandrel bent tube that provides
the maximum clearance for the suspension and spare tire during installation.
The systems we offer do NOT have a two piece tail pipe
design. Not only is a two piece design more prone to corrosion and moving
out of alignment as the systems ages, it’s has an unattractive clamp
joint that is readily visible on all four wheel applications. A tail pipe
made out of a single piece of stainless is exactly how the OEM manufacturer
designed your factory system and it is the best most secure and attractive
way to build a performance system as well. Diesel Performance Parts,
Inc. offers four different styles of tips that are available in
five-inch T-304 stainless steel as either a straight cut
or angle cut single wall rolled edge or as a dual wall straight cut or
angle cut edge designs. The tip is located directly behind the rear wheel
and is battered by road debris. The road debris will cause rust almost
immediately in a chrome-plated tip, but not in a T-304
stainless tip.
The entire exhaust system uses welded on T-304 stainless
steel hangers to make installation extremely easy. This is also the most
secure and permanent method of mounting the exhaust system, just like the
original equipment system was designed. Mild steel hangers can rust and
fail over a short period of time and then the system will loosen up and
misalign itself. Welded on stainless steel hangers eliminate this problem.
The rear hanger of the muffler on some systems is even adjustable to allow
you to tilt the five-inch tip up or down based on the ride height of your
truck and your individual appearance preferences. The joint clamps provided
in all stainless steel systems are plated to prevent corrosion and to provide
a long life. Stainless steel joint clamps can not be used as the threads
of the fasteners will gall up when tightened sufficiently to seal the joints.
Remember stainless steel is extremely hard and the joints will need to
be clamped to a much higher torque value than an aluminized system would
require.
The MBRP systems, offered by Diesel Performance
Parts, Inc., will lower your exhaust gases by up to as much as
200 degrees, while providing a quicker spool up time on your turbocharger.
There are even fuel mileage gains with our exhaust system, which will vary
by individual driving style and location. The horsepower and torque gains
will depend on your manufacturer and model of truck and are listed in the
application section of our site. Extra power is great, but lower exhaust
gasses will allow you to make other performance modifications to your diesel
engine and still keep the exhaust gas temperatures at a safe level.
The systems are available in both single four-inch systems and also the
Dual four-inch systems for the ultimate in diesel exhaust
systems. The Dual systems have both a left and right side
tail pipe exiting at a sweeping angle behind both rear wheels. The Dual
T-304 systems come standard with dual wall T-304 tips for both the left
and right side tail pipes. Tips are optional for the T-409 systems.
T-304 stainless steel systems are protected by an exclusive
Limited Lifetime Warranty Policy, to the original purchaser. The T-409
stainless steel systems are protected by a 5 year warranty, to the original
purchaser.
